Cyril

Approximately two years ago in the May of 2005, I made my first journey to the land of RPing. I knew a friend in my town who RP'd fairly regularly and it seemed to be fun to do some writing. With that, I joined Final Fantasy: Time Combined. Sadly, this RP never got off its feet because shortly afterward we moved out of VGMusic to a different location on the vast expanses of the internet.
Though we moved, I joined Geowalkers, as it seemed interesting to me. This is where I truly learned how to RP, through many mistakes and blunders on my part. I finally (towards the end of Geowalkers) was a good role-player.
After Geowalkers, I kinda just lurked for awhile, though I did join Arden's Blessing. There were RPs going on, however they... didn't hold my interest until a certain History of Venishe came along. This is my favorite RP to date.
History of Venishe featured (in my mind) my two characters, and their ongoing relationship. Conrad was pretty much an older version of me in a fantastical world, but Sheila was what I *wanted* to be as far as attitude goes. That was a successful RP with a great ending and storyline. Many thanks!
As you can see, I am mostly a fantasy/adventure/sci-fi kinda guy, being that the three successful RPs I have been in have been like that. I am not fond of those real-life RPs or the dystopic RPs, because RPing is a form of escape for me, so why would I want to escape to a sad and broken world?
I primarily lurk at this point, updating my poetry and fiction. I am really more of a musician, but I like to keep my writing skills sharp, in case they are ever needed.

Thirty-first of December, 2003, I took my first hesitating steps into the RP world. I don't know what took me there, really...just scouting around on the VGMusic square, and noticed that large portal leading in to the various RP worlds. With it being slightly ajar, I peeked inside curiously, and let that same curiousness take the better of me, leading me inside.
I'm aware it was a dazzling sight, but I just didn't understand it then. So many worlds to play in, so many people interacting with each other on a close friendship basis. Those who weren't friends, they became friends through their stories, through their interests. As you've already understood, I had never role-played in my entire life. And boy, I wanted in on it.
I picked a newly started world, introducing myself as a newbie in the legendary VGMusic RPG 1: The Stolen Songs!... and it was a journey hard to forget. We rode through crazy battles, ridiculous quests and manifested brain-twisting powers, all with a climax too out of this world to ever forget...and I was free. Free to do absolutely whatever, with limits so very scarce. That's when I got caught. I made friends with the participants of the RP (as it kept dropping in more), and I admit I wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer by that time. But I was caught, and I wanted more. I soon learned that few RPs finish as easily as that one, but still...I wanted more.
    And here I am now.
Maybe I have matured... maybe not. Most probably not. Many worlds I have hewed on my own, and so far, all of them have failed. My enthusiasm isn't as wild as it used to be anymore; it'd be silly to try to believe that...but I still enjoy a good RP over many things. My interests vary wildly; I prefer a random-humor RP, since it lets loose my imagination in a broader way. But otherwise, I prefer any style of RP, really.
Alas, all people grow up, and soon enough, it's time for me to do so as well. I'll be remaining for as long as I can possibly manage, though. I will NOT give up until at least one of my RP's succeed...and then, I'll just keep going.

Matthias

I started RPing with this particular board around October 2004, after joining VGMusic and seeing their RP and Fiction Board. My first RP was one of my own making, The Winnebago Files. Didn't go too far, but my foot was in the door, and I was on my way! My first success was probably Legend of the Saints, which has the distinction of being the first RP-turned-Fiction here, a feat I would later help do again when I co-wrote Conspiracy with Trauma Advocate. I later participated in a few successful RPs, such as Arden's Blessing and A-You-Make-the-Choices-Story. I host the RP Awards every six months. Hilarity and good times are had by all. I recently completed a fiction, Seven Spirits Unite, which utilize the characters of others. How cool is it that the lads and lasses here actually let me use their characters for a fiction? Quite cool I think. Oh, and I'm also fiendishly addicted to green tea, so you'll probably see me reference that A LOT.

Mavrickindigo

I started RPing back in the day when VGMusic hosted the RP Board, which makes me one of the longest members of this community. My first RP was Battle for the Videogame Universe. It spawned my RP series Destiny Dreams, which still continues to this day. My screen name has not changed much but I used to go by the name "Mavrick." and usually use some form of that name in all that I do. I usually only participate in my RPs, but I am trying to make it more of a habit to work on other's as well. I enjoy almost any kind of story and I like to mix Fantasy and Sci-fi together whenever I can.

Nerikuro Shino

I first joined VGMusic's forum in 2003 under the name of NaokoYiran. I joined an RP only to have the forums crash and be completely reset. First RP I'd actually been in was These People Are the Heroes? by Elec, which is what got me started there. By now, my name's changed to Nerikuro Shino, the one character who got the abuse of never being RPed that well because I used her first, but hey, learning required. Fantasy was most of what catches my attention, but I'll definitely take a stab at Sci-fi from time to time. You'll know me as one of the slowest role-players on the board.

Ricky

I started RPing in July 2004. The first RP I joined was Magical Twist: A Forgotten Past, and, since then, my apparent obsession with this hobby has landed me in sixty of them. Over the past two and a half years, I have become very good friends with a lot of people here, and, while there have been plenty of bumps in the road, I have enjoyed myself immensely. I created the Hall of Fame, the reincarnation of the RP Archive, and the Saga of the Stars series. I enjoy adventure, fantasy, and mystery genres, and have some interest in science-fiction.

Trauma Advocate

I'm the sci-fi dude. I joined some time around March 5th, 2005 as Armageddan and have been a thorn in the staff's side ever since with my constant cynicism and aggressive response to noobs. I have no artistic talent and my RPing skills are rather languid, but I consider myself a great writer. My new username comes from both a passion for scaring the bejeezus out of others and a willingness to help them when they have a serious problem. The abbreviation TA also reflects my goal of improving others' writing.

Wizard

Hello. I am Mr. Wizard, but you can just call me Wizard, or The King of the Universe. Actually, just stick with the second one. I was brought here when I took the Red and Blue pills simultaneously, and when my older brother joined the VGMusic forums. The first RP I joined was the fated Metroid RP. Never heard of it? Good. It died. But moving on, that was on the 25th of April, 2005. I also joined the 4.5th VGMusic RP (also dead). But these were just trivial pursuits leading up to the one I was actually planning on joining, Fallout: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure. Never heard of it? Bad. It finished, and spawned a sequel. I joined late in the story, yes, and I wasn't doing too great at first, but when I followed everyone to VGRP about a month later, I was... doing ever so slightly better. But even though, through the months, my outlook on things was improving, after a while, my dependability dropped off the face of the earth, and through my inactivity, I helped several stories die. I'm a murderer! But I'm trying to change. Is it working? Time will tell. All I can say is that I have plans, and that I hope to succeed. I hope to be accepted, and I hope that I don't say anything else that I'll later regret (including this.) And, if you can see this, you can tell I really like using small or hard to read text. Remember this. I am Wizard. Fallout Junkie. n00b. Hazard to your health.

Zuntrios

I started RPing on February 8, 2005, in an RP called Emerald Ideals, which flopped a little after starting due to the lack of a creator. (He was reportedly attacked by pizza ninjas.) I’ve been in several RPs over the last year plus, including Fallout: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure, and Fallout: The Fate of the Wasteland. I’ve also been in several failures, like Uncharted, and some game-based RPs like a Zelda RP, and a Metroid RP. I’ve created a few RPs, all of which failed. Final Fantasy: Time Combined was my first RP, I have fond memories of that one. It was the only RP my sister ever participated in, plus my first attempt at coming out of my shell. Then came Unfulfilled Souls, which was about characters from RPs that died who were unable to find rest, and finally Final Days, which was a look at the end of the world and how people would try to cope. I’m pretty much interested in anything the first time I see it, and really have no dislikes, as shown in my variety of RP experience. Sadly, I used to be known as gamerman, which was a horrible, horrible name I should have burned the instant I came up with. Now, though, under my new moniker Zuntrios, I have become less of a noob, and more of a participating member of this place, although not as participating as I would like.
