When a man crash-lands on a planet full of many races, but none of them human, and finds a sword that seems drawn to him, he finds himself thrust in the middle of a struggle that has lasted for millennia. Started by Corey on July 30, 2006, and finished on December 20, 2006, this is his third roleplay to enter the Hall of Fame!

Whew... This was one tiny beast of an RP, probably the one I had the most difficulty completing. I never really felt satisfied as I played through this one. The plot is flimsy at best and completely pointless at worst, and the characters, while all unique and potentially interesting, eventually fall flat. I blame myself for a few of them. I really wish I thought this one through better than just imagining a huge, sprawling epic over the course of five different stories. As it is, the story's kinda boring and the whole thing came out bleh. I also scrapped the epic idea and ended it all with just this one story, making the original fiction non-canon in the process. But now that it's over, I must admit it was pretty fun, even if nothing really went well. We had a lot to play with; I just wish I and the other participants chose to play more with it.

Ozen's Blade is now my personal favorite RP of all time. With its unforgettable and lovable characters, a storyline that otherwise would have little flair bloomed into an amazing flower of epicness. The only criticism I could possibly have of it is that the last few parts were a bit rushed, but that was rather necessary, considering the fact that, with only a small handful of frequently posting members, the RP was on its last legs. Ignoring this fact, as well as a convoluted, half-filler side-story I dreamed up at one point, I would consider this one of those rare jewels among RPs, where everything seems to come together perfectly. Bravo, everyone! Bravo, Corey!

Ozen's Blade was, as to be expected from His Thalzness, a fun RP to participate in. Unfortunately, its timing was such that I had to take two prolonged breaks due to examinations, leading to me losing the plot by the end..

This was one of those roleplays that started out great, but then it just... petered out. I made it a point to post this roleplay twice a week at first, but as it went on, I began to run out of time and, ultimately, inspiration. Because my time was being constricted due to life and other fiascos, I focused on things I found a bit more interesting, and, as such, my participation in this roleplay became severely lacking, especially during the last month when, to put the final nail in my coffin, I lost interest in roleplaying entirely. One thing I found odd was how difficult it was to play the characters. I don't know if it's just me... I had a very easy time posting for the Kristos/Aska/John trio for the first few pages of the story, but once everyone joined one group, I found it very difficult to write for Scott, or Vrejna, and the rest of the lot. This didn't help my inclination to post at all. I feel sorry for Kristos and Rose; there was real potential for those two characters, and I didn't utilize it. Eh. I'll try them in a different story when I start roleplaying again. Overall, it was a decent story, but it ends up being lackluster due to everything pretty much going wrong. It's great that it finished, but I was really looking forward to seeing Corey's epic idea come to fruition. It's disappointing that it won't.

I didn't do as much in Ozen's Blade as I should have. I had some neat ideas for character development and a back-story for John, but the world will never see them. Alas, perhaps I can improve in following RPs.
Multiball was the fifth person to join the RP. He wrote 5.22% of the story, doing so in eight posts. |
