Destiny Dreams 5 is the story of a troubled creator, known only as The Programmer, who seeks to bridge the gap between creation and reality in an effort to rule them both. Only a few heroes remain to stand in his way, but before they can face him, they must first face down their own haunted pasts. [Special thanks to Trauma Advocate for that short description.] Started by Mavrickindigo on April 05, 2005, and completed nineteen weeks later on August 17, 2005, this became the first RP to have successfully survived the transition from VGMusic to VGRP!

When I decided to make Destiny Dreams 5 I was thinking of a way to finish up unfinished business from Destiny Dreams 2 like the Programmer, while also bridging the gap between my ten-years-later plotline that began with Tournament of Legends. I think that it was a fun experience for all and it provided me with the means to do what I set out to do. I also think everyone involved did well with making it more than a fiction.

Mavrickindigo started Destiny Dreams 5, and was thus the first person to join it. He wrote 44.34% of the story, doing so in seventy-six posts.

Elec

It's been awhile since I've RP'd Raika as a young girl. However, in Destiny Dreams 5, I think I developed her character quite a bit, revealing more about her character history than I ever had before.

Raika: I was to be a guardian for some organization. However, I didn't appreciate being used and rebelled. However...I still have the desire to protect. I don't know all the details but...heh. No one is gonna convince me to abandon them. I listen to no one but myself. Okay. Well, there's one person who I remotely take orders from. That's Sparky. But...other than that, no one tells me what to do. Got that?

I feel like there's now insight to why she does certain things such as that thing at the end of Void of Illusions (the first one). I also feel that, in Destiny Dreams 5, young Raika sort of came of age. She was still her intense (and rather punky) self, but she...I don't know, understood herself a little better.

Elec was the eighth person to join the RP. She wrote 16.99% of the story, doing so in forty-nine posts.

Armageddan

Destiny Dreams 5 was a pretty exciting RP, as it delved deeply into individual character development and only their most traumatic moments. It got quite confusing at times, and I would have been unable to continue without the discussion board to straighten some things out, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Armageddan was the third person to join Destiny Dreams 5. He wrote 16.91% of the story, doing so in thirty-four posts. He now goes by the username Trauma Advocate.

Secret Agent Man

This was a fun RP to participate in. I enjoyed the story as a whole as well as the battle scenes. It had a great sense of closure as well (being the first RP I've ever been in that had been completed). My favorite aspect of this RP was the wide array of characters (especially the varying personalities).

Secret Agent Man was the seventh person to join the RP. He wrote 6.88% of the story, doing so in nine posts.

Trilroy

Destiny Dreams 5 was a very interesting RP, especially with the entire memory replaying idea. A tad confusing, as I had not really followed Destiny Dreams much before that, but fun all the same. I really like how my character, Sciren, turned out.

Trilroy was the sixth person to join Destiny Dreams 5. He wrote 6.35% of the story, doing so in twenty-seven posts.

Kagus

Kagus was unavailable for comment. He was the ninth, and last, person to join the RP. He wrote 4.08% of the story, doing so in eleven posts.

Nick     Nick was unavailable for comment. He was the fifth person to join Destiny Dreams 5, and wrote 2.39% of the story, doing so in nine posts.
Tempest_Jade     Tempest_Jade was unavailable for comment. He was the second person to join the RP, and wrote 1.71% of the story, doing so in seven posts.

I have to say, I trudged through the first fifty or so pages of this document. The characters were robotic, and the way the dialogue was written... it felt like a sock puppet show. Fortunately, it gets much better further on, and I actually found myself enjoying it. Parts of it were still confusing, though...
